About Zedmo Labs

Here is a collection of some of our projects (those marked with an asterisk (*) are our very own sites):
INECE.org
inece.org: INECE is the only global network that develops, promotes, and implements practical and innovative activities to strengthen environmental compliance and enforcement at all levels of governance. We worked closely with the INECE staff to create a web presence that would not only represent their organization's goals and projects, but also catalogue a very large number of resources, documents, and articles that their organization creates and curates.
mattressrecycling.ca
mattressrecycling.ca represents the largest mattress recyclers in Vancouver and Western Canada, founded by environment-first entrepreneur Fabio Scaldaferri and Canadian Olympic athlete Zac Plavsic.
imcsnet.org
imcsnet.org: The International Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance (IMCS) Network aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of fisheries-related MCS activities through enhanced cooperation, coordination, information collection and exchange among national organizations/institutions responsible for fisheries-related MCS. Zedmo Labs worked with the IMCS staff to modernize their web presence and to give them an online platform to update easily and promote their important organizational goals.
malcolmhoward.ca
malcolmhoward.ca is the online identity of two-time Canadian Olympic rower Malcolm Howard. Malcolm won gold in 2008 in Beijing and silver in 2012 in London in 8-man rowing. He is a true ambassador for Canadian amateur sports and hard work and determination, and has appeared on TV across the country.
scottfrandsen.com
scottfrandsen.com is the website for Canadian multiple Olympic rower Scott Frandsen in his quest to represent Canada at the world stage of sports. Scott won a gutsy silver medal at the 2008 Olympics and continues to inspire, coach, and speak to aspiring athletes around the world.
NakedAndFamousDenim.com
nakedandfamousdenim.com is a site with a content management system backend so this Canadian-based high fashion denim brand could easily update their styles, press section, and maintain a news/blog page, as well. With some custom 3D Flash animation and some embedded media, this site is a fun and informative place for “denimheads” to get their fix of the latest from this popular brand.
artillery.net
artillery.net is a work in progress in collaboration with the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery - a division of the Canadian National Defence. This site was a challenge because Zedmo Labs was asked to stick to strict Canadian Government web guidelines in terms of look and feel, but still produce a site that would have a user-friendly backend for military personnel to be able update the site easily. We are also implementing a new social media initiative to increase the Artillery's visibility and to educate the public.
myswiff.com
myswiff.com is a site we built for an online payment processing company. When the company launched this innovative consumer payment solution, they approached us to help them build the swiff brand in their most important marketplace - online. We also did some work on their logo and branding. This site is bilingual, and we designed and built it for them from scratch in just under two weeks.
strangersinthenight.ca
strangersinthenight.ca is home to the event page built for the Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada's 6th annual “Strangers In The Night” gala. The site boasts an impressive list of corporate sponsors, as well as restaurants contributing to the catering of this year's event. It also has a photo gallery of images from last year's event, as well as an embedded video player showing a teaser from events past.
lucbeausejour.com
lucbeausejour.com was built for Montreal harpsichordist, Luc Beausejour. Luc is among the best in the world in his field, so he needed a website to reflect that. With samples of his music, links to his record label, an upcoming show calendar and a blog space where he could interact with his fans, this site is built with a user-friendly content management system backend for Luc to update on his own!
ccgv.ca
ccgv.ca is a website we built for a Montreal-based cultural centre. They were looking for an inexpensive, yet professional-looking website that they could easily update themselves. Zedmo Labs had the answer - a content management system they could upload videos and photos to, update their events calendar, post blogs, and more!
zedmo.com
zedmo.com* is the next mobile social network. Zedmo knows where you are and helps you discover what's going on around you, right now. Find what interests you, no matter where you are! Like music? Go check out a concert while on a break from business meetings in Shanghai!
NorthGeek.com
northgeek.com* is a Canadian tech and lifestyle blog providing editorials, news coverage, product reviews, and funny, entertaining videos to nearly 10,000 visitors every month. Zedmo Labs built this blog to custom design specifications, and enabled many “plugins” to allow for optimized search engine results, as well as social media integration with YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and more.
TwitterOfTheDay.com
twitteroftheday.com* is a social web gathering spot for people to nominate and vote for their favourite Twitter “tweets” of the day. Based on the notion that the Twitter network has too much noise, Twitter Of The Day cleverly weeds out the most memorable, funny, and intellectual posts across the giant network. This site was custom built using a content management backend with plugins allowing for its unique functionality, and it now gathers over 10,000 visitors a month.
whatyoutweat.com
whatyoutweat.com* is a fun site built by one of Zedmo Labs' founders. It seems the great majority of people's pictures posted on Twitter were of their food, so What You Tweat shows people's food streaming in real time. You are what you tweat! The site has some clever hooks into Twitter, picture sharing sites, and affiliate product sales sites, and it has generated a generous following. It was functional from scratch within one afternoon.
vancouvertech.com
vancouvertech.com* is a portal for the tech community of Vancouver, run by Zedmo Labs' founders. The site mixes news posts, real time news about the Vancouver tech community, and an interactive tech event calendar with map.
farfromshore.com
farfromshore.com* is the website for one of Zedmo Labs' founders' erstwhile bands. It features concert news, streaming and downloadable MP3s, updates, poetry, and photography.
thevictour.com
thevictour.com* chronicles one of Zedmo Labs' founders bicycle tours around the world.
montreal2melbourne.com
montreal2melbourne.com* [semi-retired] is a personal blog site of one of Zedmo Labs' founders, who moved across the world to Melbourne, Australia. Just a place to share his stories with all those who cared - this site was search engine optimized and within 3 weeks of his departure for Melbourne, the site was attracting nearly 130 visitors a day, with only 15 of them being family and friends on a mailing list!
gearmecca.com
gearmecca.com* [retired] was the go-to place for outdoor sports enthusiasts to share links they found online, and to learn form what others were sharing - everything from gear reviews, to hot online sales, to interesting and cool videos and photos. We used an open-source solution called Pligg to implement this site's social network.

Even more sites we've created with our clients:
k2pictures.com
k2pictures.com is a site Zedmo Labs built for a New York City-based television, film, and music production company. They wanted to show off to their potential customers and end consumers, so they came to us to help build their brand online. We developed a site that has their clip reel online, their individual employee biographies, and more.
cafeaulaitfashions.com
cafeaulaitfashions.com was one of the first sites we designed. It's a basic HTML website with a manually-created and managed product catalogue that gets updated every 6 months. It's a little more work to update, but the client gets exactly what they want, and we're proud to have kept this great client happy for almost 6 years!
Lord Reading
Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada needed a cool interactive site that would motivate participants of their Lord Reading Poker Run to raise the most money for their wonderful charity. We built this Flash animation and updated it daily for them with the total pledges raised. It was a hit!
reelbulldog.com
reelbulldog.com is the online home of a boutique video rental shop in Gastown, Vancouver. In a simple and quick project, we took them from having no web presence in a highly web savvy city, to owning a simple and SEO friendly website with connections to critical social business listing sites like Yelp, Facebook, and Google businesses.
Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada
Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada asked us to build them a landing page for an upcoming Ski-O-Thon fundraiser, so we came up with a bilingual microsite that displayed the major sponsors involved with the event, as well as all pertinent information for potential sponsors, event participants, and news agencies.
littledogphotos.com
littledogphotos.com is primarily a gallery site for a photographer who specializes in action sport photography and outdoor themes. With a very limited budget, Zedmo Labs was approached to build something that could go up quickly, be easily managed by the client, and handle VERY large photo files. We used ZenPhoto to customize a gallery for him, and now he can share the product of his talent with the world!
starlighthotel.ca
starlighthotel.ca was built for the Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada as an online invitation and “teaser” microsite, aimed at attracting 18-35 year old partygoers to a charity event with an exotic-resort theme. This site is built entirely in Flash!
Strangers in the Night 2009
strangersinthenight.ca/2009/ [retired] was the first site we built for the amazing Strangers In The Night event hosted each year for the Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada.
ubstarlight.com
ubstarlight.com was built for the Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada as an informative page to help them promote a large-scale poker tournament fundraiser. The site is a static site, as it only requires updating once a year.
My Fitness Exchange
myfitnessexchange.com/beta/ [temporarily “hidden” online for maintenance] was built as a “get me online, quick!” project for a small business owner with a bunch of new and used fitness equipment inventory to advertise, but not to be sold online. We put all the products into an easy-to-navigate catalogue format in just under two weeks!
NakedAndFamousDenim.com
When the Starlight Children's Foundation of Canada asked us to build them a microsite showcasing some holiday greeting cards they were selling for charity, we were quick to build them a simple, one-page (English and French) “web flyer” that had links to purchase cards, learn more about the Foundation, or contact someone for support. We had the site up and running in under a week!

“And many more...”
